Pros – mini splits do not require a central duct system so they can be installed in a non-invasive manner compared to installing duct work in the home (think older homes with boiler heat, summer cabin homes or additions to a home). They also operate at an extremely low decibel level, some as low as 12 dB!

Cons – mini splits are not as powerful as traditional, central HVAC equipment. Larger properties may be better off with a standard system to ensure an even distribution of heating or cooling.
